Role:

This role is responsible for the organization, execution, cost management, and successful delivery of projects procured within the Brines Projects Department. Working with the HVAC/Refrigeration Project Manager to determine workload and bid pricing while having oversight over materials pricing and purchasing.  This position will help drive constant communication and support on opportunities within current and new clients, deal with project related items such as: change order management, workflow, project parts procurement, and other clerical needs to support the overall projects. They will help establish relationships with customers to grow our internal project teams. Work closely with vendors to ensure we receive the best possible price. Monitor and manage projects to ensure they stay on schedule and within the project budget.

Min Compensation

USD $80,000.00/Yr.

Max Compensation

USD $90,000.00/Yr.

Responsibilities

 

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals, workflow and long-term plans, specifically with Senior and Regional Vice Presidents and Project Managers.
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommend efficiency improvements driving GP% improvement and minimizing overhead costs.
  • Point of contact to help department, field managers, and personnel in dealing with problems that may arise during project-related work.
  • Responsible for developing and managing operational key performance indicators (KPI’s).
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives in your department.
  • Build and maintain relationships with construction department heads, General contractors, estimating team on pricing and capacity and vendors to make decisions and set strategic goals.
  • Work closely with the business development team to respond and react to business opportunities.
  • Cultivate relationships with customers to build and maintain the workload.
  • Oversee the entire permit process, acquire permits in a timely manner, work with engineers as required, ensure timely inspections (Goal: Within 1 week of completion), manage the entire process to full completion.
  • Manage the execution procedure, work with the internal stakeholders, and monitor projects from the beginning to the end of the project.
  • Ensure billing of project is complete, timely, and accurate.
  • Monitor budget for active projects. Actively manage the installation tracker and provide timely, accurate updates.
  • Schedule and manage project team’s manpower. Review forecasted project schedule with Account Management and Operations staff to anticipate needed manpower. Assist in the annual budget for manpower based on backlog and new clients.
  • Work with Service team to ensure they have necessary materials and resources for a successful project handoff.
  • Communicate senior leadership of critical issues/risks and drives them to resolution with constant and consistent objectivity 
  • Ensures and manages effective communications to all stakeholders 

Qualifications

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced skills in Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Macros, If Statements, Formulas).
  • Ability to coordinate, contribute to and work within a cross-functional team.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to remain disciplined and show continued perseverance
  • Ability to focus and be committed to resolve complex issues
  • Ability to be flexible and operate in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated exceptional project management skills with proven capability in complex environments
  • Previous experience building and sustaining strong relationships at multiple levels internally and with external partners
  • Previous experience as a hands-on leader that built and lead highly effective teams
  • 3-5 years previous experience in HVAC/Refrigeration Retrofit and Construction Project delivery and management REQUIRED.

Physical requirements:

  • Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
  • Able to work in office environment
  • Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 50
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
  • Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
  • Requires climbing ladders occasionally.
  • Travels onsite to locations, as needed
